Dundee United striker Louis Moult spoke to the broadcast media to preview our William Hill Premiership clash with Ross County on Matchday 31.

The 32-year-old discussed staying in the right frame of mind despite a difficult spell of results, the impact of leaving Dingwall with maximum points, always believing in himself and more!

ON HAVING A BREAK FOLLOWING MATCHDAY 30

It was good. Obviously, it wasn’t ideal coming off the back of a bad defeat and it took a bit of getting over, but it was important that we went away and spent a bit of time with our loved ones, cleared our heads and came back ready to go again.

Whenever you lose, and in the manner that we did, you want to bounce back as quickly as possible and the next game to be as soon as possible, but unfortunately, it wasn't.

We've had to wait a little bit longer, but we’ve got that little bit of aggression, controlled aggression, and we need to show that on Sunday

ON GENERAL THOUGHTS HEADING TO DINGWALL

It's a tough place to go, but we're well prepared. We've trained all week and we need to go there in a positive mindset. Their home record is really good, but like I said there before, we need to go there with in the right frame of mind, take our game to them and hopefully get the result.

We've had a good week's training. We're going to go there very positive and on the front foot.

ON A SEASON-DEFINING THREE WEEKS AHEAD

It’s a huge few weeks. We’ve got three massive games that will determine how our season pans out. Hopefully, some results go for us tomorrow, but we need to concentrate on ourselves on Sunday and get the three points if possible.

ON THE PERSONAL ROLLERCOASTER OF 2024/25

It’s been a bit frustrating, personally - I’ve not played as much as I wanted to. I've had a few setbacks, not too many in terms of injuries, just some contact knocks more so. But I've been available for a large part of the season.

It's football. I've always given my 100% when on that pitch and I still feel I've got a lot to add. Wherever I've been, I've scored goals.

I think my record speaks for itself, especially last season and this season -  when I have played, I've scored goals. That's never in doubt for me. It's just about trying to stay positive and getting on the pitch.

ON LEARNING FROM PREVIOUS PERFORMANCES

We've got to try and rectify exactly what went wrong against Dundee. We need to start fast - that's something we'll have to do on Sunday, that's for sure.

Clean sheets are massive. I think where we are in the league has come from being solid from the back because I always believe we'll create chances and we will get goals.

It's about getting back to basics.

ON FINISHING THE TOP SIX JOB

It's huge. It would be such a shame to come this far and then let the season peter out. That's why I'm on about the positive mindset - you need to stay focused until the very end of the season.

We've got a good bunch in there and the manager is always keeping us on our toes. That's exactly what we need.
