Dundee United and Powering Futures Empower Students with Sustainability Challenge

In an exciting collaboration with PoweringFutures, Dundee United and Your Equipment Solutions had the privilege of hosting students from the local community as they presented their innovative ideas to tackle the sustainability challenges faced by businesses today.

Marking an important step in fostering the next generation of forward-thinking leaders, the students were given the unique opportunity to showcase their creativity and problem-solving skills to a panel of industry-leading judges.

Throughout the day, students engaged with real-world business challenges, sharing solutions that combined fresh perspectives with practical approaches to sustainability.

The students presented a variety of exciting proposals, ranging from energy-saving technologies to sustainable supply chain models, all designed to help businesses reduce their carbon footprints. Their work impressed the judges and highlighted the immense potential of young people to drive change in the business world.

Our club partner, Your Equipment Solutions, played a key role in supporting this initiative. As a business with a strong history of community involvement, they saw this as a valuable opportunity to demonstrate their ongoing commitment to the people of Tayside and sustainability in the region. Hosted in their lounge at the CalForth Construction Arena, YES members were on hand to engage with students, discussing the challenges their business may encounter during the event.

Dundee United's Head of Commercial, Mark Cunningham, was one of the distinguished judges overseeing the presentations.
