The Club confirmed today that Jamie McCunnie has been selected for the Scotland U-20 squad to participate in the Milk Cup in Ireland. Alex Smith stated: "The lad will be racing to get fit. He came through a minor knee operation tens days ago and will definitely need all the time he can get to build his fitness levels up again. We have decided not to take him to Austria together with the rest of the squad but let him remain at Tannadice where he can focus on his preparatory work."
The United Manager further confirmed that the first team will report back for pre-season training on Thursday this week with the exception of Paul Gallacher and Steven Thompson who have earned themselves a few additional days until Monday 1st July. This is due to their Scotland involvement as part of Berti Vogts's Far East tour earlier this summer.
