GALLACHER AND DUFF RECEIVE AWARDS

As in previous years, Dundee United's Fifth Annual Dinner held at the Hilton Dundee yesterday evening proved to be another successful event. Jamie McCunnie, United's Young Player of the Year in 2001, accepted this Year's Player of the Year Award on behalf of Paul Gallacher who is on international duty whilst Stuart Duff (pictured) followed in Jamie's footsteps as this Season's Young Player of the Year. The presentation of the awards was conducted by guest speaker Jim Leishman. Following a raffle, the event saw a record-breaking auction raising funds for the Club's youth development programme. Further guest speakers were Jimmy Stirling and John Gagahan. A further high point of the occasion was the preview of the new black Centenary Strip which can now be ordered from the Club Shop on 01382 204066 and the previews of the new green away kit and the tangerine home strip. Such was the success of the Dinner that next year's event is already fully booked.
