The Scottish Executive is to be asked to investigate the potential economic impact of the Old Firm's decision to veto the SPL-TV proposal.
Ten SPL Clubs voted to back the plan they believed would help underpin the short, medium and long-term future of the game - only for the two Old Firm Clubs to vote against and deny the proposal the 11-1 majority required under SPL rules.
Yesterday, the Ten clubs revealed that a significant number of jobs would be under threat. The Clubs employ almost 1000 people full-time directly, and many hundreds more indirectly and through part-time work.
The Clubs also made plain their belief that the Old Firm should clearly indicate their level of commitment to Scottish football, and any timescale they may foresee for a move to any other football environment.
