This evening the United Under-21 side played their second match at Tannadice in three days drawing 1-1 against a strong Aberdeen side. Alex Smith fielded two trialists in a side that almost represented the United Under-18 team against a visiting Dons side that featured Esson, Dadi and Zerouali.
Burns opened the score for the young Tangerines in the 15th minute, a lead they held for just 10 minutes when Zerouali equalised with a swerving free kick.
There were no further goals with keeper Paul Jarvie once again in outstanding form for United.
