DAVID HANNAH DEPARTS FROM TANNADICE

The Club announced today the departure by mutual agreement of its longstanding player David Hannah. The powerful midfielder put in a total of 181 appearances in his eight years with United, interrupted by a two-year spell at Celtic Park, and he scored a total of 26 goals for the Club. Manager Alex Smith thanked the player for his eminent contribution, declaring: "During his time at the Club, David has given United on every occasion his complete commitment, immense skill and indomitable spirit and we all wish him the very best for the future."
