The first of the Daily Record & Sunday Mail/Bank of Scotland Football Forums was held in the George Fox Lounges before a packed audience yesterday evening. A panel consisting of United Manager Alex Smith, Murdo McLeod and journalists Hugh Keevans and Gordon Waddell answered a host of questions during the two and a half hour special.
In a very relaxed and informal atmosphere assisted by the bar being opened in the Ernest Robertson Lounge, the topics discussed included United, Scotland, Referees...in fact the wide range of issues were complimented on by the panellists with the audience praised for their lack of parochialism.
A framed United top was the prize in a draw made at the end of the event which was voted a great success by the dignitaries from the Daily Record Sunday Mail.
