Dundee United FC Women are delighted to announce that Leah Sidey has signed a part-time professional contract.
Following on from Abbie Cusack and Summer Christie earlier this month, the 19-year-old has joined the duo in penning a deal at the club.
The midfielder, who can also operate anywhere down the left flank, has been at the club since January of last year, racking up almost 50 appearances in the process.
Speaking after signing her contract, Sidey is keen to get going with the new season. “It feels superb to have signed a contract. I feel really positive and a good indicator that the club is making a big step forward. It’s something that is perfect to see, and I’m excited to get going.”
“Pre-season has been excellent, the intensity has been there, a lot of players are young but talented, and I’m looking forward to seeing them on the pitch this season.”
Suzy Shepherd has been pleased with Sidey’s progress since coming to the club and hopes to help her continue to improve.
“I’m delighted for Leah to sign her first professional contract for Dundee United. Leah is a committed, hard-working, versatile player who very much deserves this contract and I look forward to continuing to work with Leah and helping her develop as a player.”
