Dundee United Women secured three points on Sunday after an excellent 3-2 win over Aberdeen at Foundation Park.

Goals from Cassie Cowper, Jo Fraser and Rachel Todd earned the points despite Aberdeen netting twice through Bayley Hutchison and Eilidh Shore.
The Team Talk
Graeme Hart made three changes from the side that defeated Kilmarnock last week; Georgie Robb and Cowper returning to the starting XI while emergency loanee Nina Wilson made her debut in goal.
The visitors came close early on as Hannah Innes hit the crossbar from distance before Wilson held a tame header shortly after.
In the 18th minute the deadlock was broken when Rachel Todd was fouled on the edge of the box, Cassie Cowper stood over the free kick and curled a delightful strike into the top corner to give United the lead.
Hutchison fired over from close range for Aberdeen while at the other end Leah Sidey squeezed her way through the defence before sending her effort from a tight angle above the bar.
Sixty seconds later United looked to have a great opportunity when the ball fell to Robyn Smith, but she couldn’t get her effort on target under pressure.
United went into the break ahead, but just five minutes into the second half the scores were level again; Hutchison beating Wilson with a great strike inside the box.
Into The Break
It wasn’t long until Graeme Hart’s side were back in front and after 54 minutes it was a first United goal for Jo Fraser. A long ball from Wilson bounced over a static defender and Fraser ran on to it before sending a looping strike over the keeper and into the net.
On the hour mark the lead was extended when another ball from Wilson was flicked on by Fraser for Robyn Smith to run onto before squaring it to give Rachel Todd the easiest of finishes.
Wilson denied Stewart shortly before being cautioned for time wasting as United looked to finish the game on top.
Todd saw an effort deflected wide shortly before Aberdeen came close again with Cassie Cowper clearing a header off the line.
With eight minutes to go, the visitors ensured a nervy ending when Eilidh Shore rifled a low effort into the bottom corner.
Aberdeen looked for a penalty late on when Hutchison broke through on goal and fell to the ground, bringing Robyn Smith with her and the referee rightly waved away appeals.
In the sixth minute of added time the visitors thought they had equalised when Hannah Stewart tapped home a loose ball only to see the offside flag raised.
All in all, a great game for the neutral despite the conditions as a five goal thriller ended in three points for United.
On Sunday we travel to Lanarkshire this coming Sunday to face Motherwell at K-Park in East Kilbride.
