AZIZ BEHICH DEPARTS FOR MELBOURNE CITY

Dundee United can confirm Aziz Behich has completed a permanent move to A-League side Melbourne City for an undisclosed fee.

The tenacious full-back made 36 appearances for the Terrors, with his early-season form on Tayside seeing him included in Australia's squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Before his departure, Aziz expressed a desire to relay his gratitude to the club, saying: "Although my time at the club has come to an end, I enjoyed every minute of my season with Dundee United."

"To the fans, I can’t thank you enough for the welcome you gave me from the first day I arrived and the support you continued to show throughout the season."

He continued: "Regardless of the outcome of last season, you stuck behind the team and pushed us until the last whistle. You are a fanbase I will never forget and I will continue to support you from afar.

"I wish everyone connected with the club all the very best for the upcoming season."
