United Coach Maurice Malpas feels that his team did not get the result that their performance merited from last nights 1-2 defeat from Rangers.
"I felt that we never got what we deserved from the game. Having gone in at half time all square at 1-1, we were by far the better team in the second half but we could not turn our chances and superiority into goals."
Maurice enthused about some of the performances including young Stephen O'Donnell who made his debut for the Under-21's. "Stephen played very well as did David Winters who was excellent once again. I also thought Alan Combe, Stephen Wright and David Hannah played very well. Overall I was delighted with our play but disappointed with the result."
The United Under-21's hope to get back on track next Monday when they take on St Johnstone away, the match kicking off at 7.00pm.
