JOB DESCRIPTION

ROLE: COMMERCIAL SALES MANAGER
DEPARTMENT: COMMERCIAL
REPORTS TO: HEAD OF COMMERCIAL & SPONSORSHIP
LOCATION: TANNADICE PARK, DUNDEE
SALARY: DEPENDANT ON EXPERIENCE

Main Purpose: To maximise revenue through sales of key commercial club assets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct sales calls and set up meetings with prospective advertisers and sponsors with a focus on selling commercial products
• Develop & manage key pipelines of prospective clients
• Develop strong relationships with corporate clients and individuals within the local business community
• Liaise both internally and externally with relevant parties to ensure sales are activated
• Assist the Head of Commercial & Sponsorship with the attainment of Club Partners
• Directly manage the commercial department’s corporate sales effort, with the responsibility for the management of key assets
• Work against KPIs with a strong focus on hitting sales targets
• Network with VIP guests on matchday
• Attend networking events on behalf of the club
• Act as an ambassador for Dundee United Football Club at all times
• Any further tasks deemed necessary by the Head of Commercial & Sponsorship

Education, Qualifications and Experience:

• Min 3yrs experience in a fast-paced sales environment
• Experience within the sponsorship landscape within the football industry is desirable
• Results-driven with a passion for success
• Open to fresh ideas with an innovative approach
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with colleagues and clients
• Strong organisational skills with close attention to detail
