DUNDEE UNITED
DUNDEE
CINCH RESERVE LEAGUE CUP
14:00 TUESDAY 24TH JANUARY
GUSSIE PARK
It's derby day in the city of Dundee as United B go head-to-head with their city rivals in the cinch Reserve League Cup at Gussie Park.
Tale of the Tape
Hibernian inflicted Dundee United B's first defeat in the Reserve Cup last Tuesday, as they left Tayside with a 2-0 victory courtesy of an Ethan Laidlaw double.
However, the Terrors still lead the pack at the top of Group One with seven points from their opening four matches, whilst Dundee sit bottom having conceded eight goals in their three fixtures.
Opportunities have arisen for many of those who thrive with the Young Terrors (U18s) to test themselves at a more physically demanding level - Arron Donald, Craig Moore, Rory MacLeod, Stuart Heenan, Sean Borland, Keir Bertie and Bryan Mwangi all featuring in recent matches.
There's an even spread of goals across Brian Grant and Andy Payne's side, with Sadat Anaku, Kai Fotheringham, Archie Meekison, Scott McMann and Mathew Cudjoe all on the scoresheet so far this season.
COMPETITION FORMAT
Twelve clubs have each been allocated, where practically possible, into two regional groups of six clubs.
Clubs will play each other once in the group stage for a total of five matches.
The group winners and runners-up will progress to the semi-finals, where the winner in each group will host the runner-up in the opposite group in each semi-final.
