DUNDEE UNITED
HIBERNIAN
CINCH RESERVE LEAGUE CUP
14:00 TUESDAY 17TH JANUARY
GUSSIE PARK
Dundee United B contest their first home match of 2023, welcoming Hibernian to Gussie Park this afternoon.
Tale Of The Tape
Last time out, Livingston and United battled out an end-to-end clash in West Lothian, with honours ending even after 90 minutes.
A penalty shootout decided whether the bonus point would remain in Livingston or travel back to Dundee, and the unfortunate Mathew Cudjoe, who executed a flawless penalty during normal time to restore parity, missed the decisive kick.
The Hibees have two wins from their first five fixtures in the competition, seeing off both Queen's Park and Livingston away from home. However, their last outing, in November, produced a disappointing 2-0 defeat in Tranent at the hands of Dunfermline Athletic.
Hibernian were the Terrors' opponents for the only cinch Reserve League match of the 2022/23 season so far back in September, a flurry of goals in the 15 minutes proceeding the break resulted in a 2-2 draw as Kai Fotheringham and Sadat Anaku found the back of the net for the visitors.
