UNITED UNDER 21’S MAINTAIN GOOD RUN

The United Under-21’s maintained their recent excellent run with a victory over second placed Livingston at Ochilview this afternoon. Trailing 0-1 at half time against the run of play, the young Tangerines stormed back with goals from Venetis fifteen minutes into the second half and the winner from Winters ten minutes later. This was the Under-21’s third victory on the spin and Coach Maurice Malpas was delighted not only with the result but with the performance. “This was an excellent team performance and everyone played well. The narrowness of the scoreline did not reflect our superiority and we had many more chances than a 2-1 win would suggest.” The United Under 21’s next match is at Tannadice next Monday against Motherwell with a 7.00pm kick-off.
