We can confirm that Our Academy graduate Nathan Cooney has joined Elgin City on loan until January.
Nathan has two loan spells under his belt already having been at both Kelty Hearts and Raith Rovers last season. But he found game time limited at both and it's hoped time at Gavin Price's side will give him the minutes necessary for his development.
Elgin finished third in League Two last season but were defeated in the promotion playoffs at the hands of Edinburgh City. This season, they'll be looking to go a step further and it's hoped Nathan can be a key part of that promotion push.
Head of Player Pathway and Loans, Brian Grant said: "It's been extremely unfortunate to see Nathan not get the game time over the last 12 months that he would have liked, but we believe a move to Elgin City is exactly the one he needs.
"He's experienced a couple of different loans now at different clubs, leagues and environments and that will stand him in good stead as he looks to break into a talented starting XI."
We wish Nathan all the best on his move north and look forward to his return.
