LAURA McCALLUM DEPARTS TANNADICE

4th August 2021

Dundee United FC can confirm that Head of Football Administration and Legal Affairs Laura McCallum is leaving the Club to continue her football admin career development elsewhere.

Laura joined in September 2019 as part of the Club’s initial evolution under the ownership of Mark and Scott Ogren and brought her considerable legal knowledge including sports law and litigation in-house while developing her own experience and knowledge within a football club. The Club will now look to restructure the roles of football administration and legal affairs.

Chairman Mark Ogren said, “Laura leaves with our best wishes. She had played a vital part in improving many policies and procedures, but she really showed her fabulous legal ability in her handling of the intense court case Dundee United were forced to take part in back in 2020 as our rightful place in the Premiership came under attack. I have enjoyed watching Laura grow within her role at Dundee United and I am sure we will hear much more from her within Scottish Football in the future.

“This now gives us an opportunity for further evolution of the Club structure. Football is fast-moving industry and we have to continually adapt to environmental factors.  We will look to announce further infrastructure changes and new appointments soon.”

Laura McCallum said: “I have enjoyed my time at DUFC which was my first role working at the coalface of a football club. The past two years, working alongside the board, executive team and staff across all departments, have provided me with invaluable experience that I now take with me into my new role. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank Tony Asghar for providing me with the opportunity to work at DUFC and I wish the club all the very best in the future. I look forward to being welcomed back to Tannadice soon.”
