With the conclusion of the Betfred Cup group stages last weekend, it was still a busy weekend for most of our Loan Terrors.
While both Cove Rangers and Forfar were unable to qualify they still served up a competitive game with both Ross Graham and Flo Hoti playing the full 90 minutes for their respective clubs. It was Ross who came out on top as Rory McAllister’s second-half penalty ensured Cove Rangers kept their remarkable home record intact.
Peterhead lost out 3-1 at home to St Johnstone in our group, meaning elimination but Kieran Freeman again played the full 90 minutes and performed well.
Nathan Cooney made his first appearance for Kelty Hearts after coming on in the 28th minute in a comfortable 2-0 win away at Brechin. Nathan had a steady game as Kelty finished the group with a much deserved win.
The Spartans were on the wrong end of a 2-0 defeat at Bonnyrigg Rose as 18-year-old Archie Meekison played 80 minutes in the Lowland League clash.
Young defender Jake Davidson had a disappointing end to the season as his Waterford side missed out on European qualification with a 1-0 defeat to Finn Harps who secured their place in the league with victory.
Both Chris Mochrie and Cammy Smith missed out on any action last weekend due to being cupped having represented United earlier in the competition.
