UNITED ON LOAN

2nd November 2020

It was another busy weekend of action for the Loan Terrors across the country with plenty of game time and key moments to boot.

Our Academy graduate Archie Meekison, 18, had a good game but couldn't prevent The Spartans from slipping to a 2-0 defeat at East Kilbride in Lowland League action. Archie was also denied the opportunity to score his third goal in as many games when he saw his penalty saved by the EK goalkeeper.

Peterhead secured their first league win of the season with a fine away victory at Clyde. Young defender Keiran Freeman had a solid 90 minutes in the 2- 0 win. The exciting young full-back helped keep an experienced Clyde forwards quiet throughout.

Young centre back Ross Graham helped Cove Rangers secure a vital 1-0 win versus Partick Thistle at the Balmoral Stadium. The 19-year-old Our Academy graduate help secure Cove sixteenth-straight home win. Rory McAllister producing the crucial strike in the fourth minute of stoppage time to keep Cove at the top of the table.

Montrose also left it late in their dramatic 3-2 victory in the Angus derby v Forfar. 17-year-old Chris Mochrie played the full 90 minutes and claimed an assist in Liam Callaghan's injury-time winner. Injury prevented Flo Hoti from lining up for the Loons.

Cammy Smith scored what looked like a decisive second goal for Ayr United in the 75th minute away to Morton before the home side completed a remarkable comeback to beat the ten-man Honest Men. All Morton's three goals coming in the final seven minutes.

Jake Davidson's Waterford had a free weekend and play their last league game next week v Finn Harps; If results go their way, they will finish 3rd in the League and qualify for Europe.
