Dundee United Football Club would like to thank our wonderful fans for another outstanding support against Hibernian in the William Hill Scottish Cup fourth round last weekend.
An excellent 9,400 fans descended on Tannadice last Sunday to take in a cracking encounter, with stunning goals and feisty challenges justifying its title as the tie of the round. It was so good it has to be done a second time, and we look forward to seeing the Tangerine Army take another large travelling support to Edinburgh next Tuesday night.
Out of the 16 ties played in this round of the Scottish Cup, United was one of only two league teams whose crowd bettered their average attendance for the season.
We would like to thank our fans for another exceptional support which built the incredible atmosphere needed to help the boys match a top-six Premiership opposition. This season we're seeing a togetherness between the Club and the fans which has not been seen for a few years and Sunday was another example of the connection we share.
So let's keep it going for every remaining fixture of the campaign as we look to make the 2019/20 season one to remember.
