VETERANS RECEIVE FREE TICKETS FOR SATURDAY'S MATCH

Ian Harkes and Nicky Clark visited the Rosendael Veterans Accommodation in Broughty Ferry on Tuesday to hand over match tickets for Saturday's home league fixture versus Queen of the South. 

The veterans will visit Tannadice as the Club honours the brave men and women of the Armed Forces within the Remembrance Day period of appreciation. 

Ian said: "The work that is being done by everyone at Rosendael is incredible. It was great to go down and speak to the veterans and hear their stories. It really puts everything into perspective and makes you think about how lucky you are because of the sacrifices they made." 

Nicky added: "It felt great to invite them along to Saturday's match. It should be a great game and, hopefully, we can put on a good show for them."

Susie Hamilton from Scottish Veterans Residences said: “The residents really enjoyed meeting and chatting with Ian and Nicky and a number of our veterans are also very excited about attending this weekend’s match courtesy of the Club. As a charity committed to providing housing for and promoting the wellbeing of veterans, we are grateful for this connection with Dundee United and look forward to further involvement with the Club.” 

Rosendael is a local Scottish Veterans Residence (SVR), a registered charity (SCO12739) established in 1910 in reaction to the sight of veterans sleeping rough on the streets. SVR provides high quality, supported accommodation for veterans who are homeless or in need.
