Affirming the Club’s commitment to diversity and inclusion, Declan Glass was ready to show racism the red card when refereeing the annual Black History Month Dundee University Staff versus Students match at Riverside this week.
Also in attendance were Dundee University Rector Jim Spence, George Laidlaw representing the Club’s diversity partner ArabTRUST, as well as Cammy Kerr form Dundee FC.
Declan Glass said: "It was a great event to be involved in. It's important for people to come together and take a stand against racism both in football and the wider society.”
Susan Batten, ArabTRUST Chair, said: “ArabTRUST are proud to continue our long association with the Show Racism the Red Card campaign in the community. Education is key in tackling racism in our society. Events like this are a great way of raising awareness and sending a clear message in the current climate.”
