On Monday 4th March, Dundee United Community Trust were delighted to be invited to Our Lady’s Primary School as part of World Book Week to help celebrate the importance of reading. This was the second visit that DUCT has made to Our Lady's during World Book Week after last year's visit from Thomas Mikkelson.
This year, Dundee United defender Charlie Seaman and Project Manager for Health and Education Michael Malone visited the Primary Three and Primary Five classes on Monday afternoon to discuss the importance of reading.
Michael read out sections of books that the pupils were reading in class and Charlie talked to the children about the importance of reading at any age and discussed the books that he enjoyed reading. Pupils then had the opportunity to ask Charlie any questions related to reading and to his experiences in football.
Charlie and Michael really enjoyed their visit to the school and look forward to working with the school in the future!
