Despite Sott Robertson's side dominating the first half and deservedly going in a goal to the good, the Jags came from behind to secure victory thanks to a strong second half performance.

Having hit the post earlier, Alassan Jones scored a tremendous goal after 37 minutes.

But taking control from the start of the second period, Thistle levelled within seven minutes and got the winner midway through the half.

The young Tangerines did get back into the game and Darren Watson went close to getting what would have been a deserved equaliser five minutes from time given their impressive first half performance.
