The January transfer window has now closed, and it proved to be a hectic period for United with 11 players coming into Tannadice and 14 going out.
Head Coach Robbie Neilson was happy with his activity during the transfer window saying, "We all knew what needed to be done, we knew there had to be wholesale changes, and we have brought in the players we wanted. I am delighted with the players we have brought to the Club.
"We had good players already but now there is real pressure to perform every day, and if you don't, someone is waiting to take your place. We have added plenty of experience, and although we had one or two, we now have several leaders, and that was an important factor in our business.
"There was a lot of hard work done by many people at the Club. The owner Mark Ogren has backed us financially like he said he would, and Tony and the recruitment team have delivered the players we were after."
"We have fourteen games to go, and we have to get everyone together and play as a team starting tomorrow. We have a great opportunity to start the run-in positively with three points, and it is up to us to do that now."
