It is a return to league action for United this coming Friday with a visit to Somerset Park to take on second-placed Ayr United.
United will come into this one in confident mood with Saturday's 4-0 victory over Montrose in the Scottish Cup sending the 2200 travelling Arabs home happy. Goals by Safranko, Booth, King and Harkes secured United's passage into the fifth round.
Our hosts Ayr United have suffered badly since routing United 5-0 at Tannadice on 30 November, with Saturday's 1-0 defeat to Auchinleck Talbot in the Scottish Cup being the latest disappointment for the Honest Men following three draws and two losses in league action since the victory at Tannadice.
United took the opportunity to play all four recent signings against Montrose - with Aidan Nesbitt, Cammy Smith, Morgaro Gomis and Ian Harkes all enjoying game time. Goalkeeper Benji Siegrist enjoyed a second successive clean sheet at Links Park also.
Admission for this one is pay-at-the-turnstile, and prices are as follows:
Adult - £17
Concession (over 65s/student/18-21/wheelchairs) – £11
Child (under 18) - £6.
The game is a 7.45pm kick-off and is live on BT Sport.
