Robbie Neilson heaped praise on his players after Saturday's resilient 1-0 victory at the Global Energy Stadium. The results ensured that United have now amassed 13 points from 15 under the guidance of Neilson.
"I thought they were exceptional. It was an extremely tough game against a very good team. We know it would be a tough start, they have been beating teams four and five-one up here, but we rode the start out and managed to get a goal."
Also singled out for praise was the 901-strong Tangerine Army that followed the team and gave great backing throughout the 98 minutes.
"The most pleasing thing was we brought a huge number of fans who put their hands in their pockets to come here, and they are going down the road extremely happy.
"We spoke about it before the game. I know Ross County like to shoot the opposite way in the second half but in games, fans can sook the ball into the net but they can also blow it out, and our fans were tremendous."

Robbie knew Dingwall would prove a tough obstacle and the impact played by the travelling Arabs was crucial in his eyes.
"I didn't think we would come up here and win 3-0, but I thought we could get to 1-0 and maybe see it out, and we did.
"The atmosphere was brilliant. We had near 1000 fans up here, and if we had come up with 15 fans, the place would be flat, but with that backing, it makes for a huge atmosphere."
Robbie is hoping that all of those in attendance on Saturday will be in attendance at the Alloa game but also convince other fans to come with them.
"The togetherness is great, and it is vital, but we now look forward to Alloa at home and its another question and another challenge. Can we do it at home to Alloa on a Tuesday night?
"I hope there will be more fans at the Alloa game. The fans that were here will have enjoyed it and enjoy the journey home. It is important we make Tannadice a fortress, and I want the fans to make the place intimidating for teams to come to."
Robbie also praised the referee Alan Newland for his performance under a lot of pressure on Saturday, and despite eight minutes of additional time being played, the Gaffer enjoyed the added value!
"We knew it would be a battle and it is quite a tight pitch. It was a tough game to referee, and he did well. I actually enjoyed the extra time at the end. Sometimes you don't, but I didn't feel any pressure. We went to a back five with Fraser Aird as wing-back, and we didn't look in trouble at any point."
The focus is very much on the next game but Robbie, who has experienced winning the Championship as Hearts Manager, also knows how important it is for his squad to be ready to come in when asked.
"One of the biggest things about winning a league is about having a set back six basically - six guys that can play or come in and help keep clean sheets. Next Tuesday we will look to get another clean sheet and give the guys up front a chance to score goals.
"We have to keep focusing on our job and taking it a game at a time, but also we have to look to the teams ahead of us in the table and try to take over them.
