120 Junior Tangerines had an afternoon to remember at the GA Arena today as Head Coach Robbie Neilson and the first-team squad held a joint training session.
The event, part of the Junior Tangerines membership calendar, took place in two sessions with kids between the ages of 5-8 years and then 9 years old up to 12 years old taking part in a warm-up session before being paired with players in five-a-side matches the length of the pitch.
Each session took around 50 minutes, and the Gaffer and the player were only too happy to pose for pictures and sign autographs.
The Junior Tangerines Supporters' Club (previously the Young Arabs) is the official junior supporters' club and today's event was one of a number of the interactive squad and member events planned. The 120 lucky members were offered and applied for the exclusive places at the unique event.
Manager Robbie Neilson said, "Events like today are so important. The Junior Tangerines are the future of the Club and to see so many happy faces today was a joy for everyone. I was delighted to take part, and the players all enjoyed themselves - even although they have had a hard session today already!
Club Captain Fraser Fyvie said, "This has been magnificent. It is so good to see so many happy young faces. There were some outstanding young players out there, and all the boys enjoyed taking part. you could see that even the parents on the touchline were having a great time also."
Junior Tangerine membership runs until the end of July 2019, and you can join here.
