A stunning strike denied United U18s the draw which was the least they would have deserved against Ross County at a rain-sodden Tannadice this afternoon.

Matthew Wright gave the Dingwall side a fourth minute lead, but that was cancelled out by Scott Banks’s penalty conversion after he had been brought down after 33 minutes.

However, Jack Noel crashed home County’s winner with a spectacular angled drive on 65 minutes.
