A Declan Glass hat-trick helped the Tangerines’ second string cruise to victory against Falkirk at St Andrews University this afternoon.

And another pleasing aspect was Lewis Toshney continuing his comeback, playing for an hour with no adverse reaction.
Just three minutes had gone when Louis Appere opened the scoring, outmuscling a defender before rounding the keeper and slotting home.
But ten minutes later Falkirk were level thanks to a Tom Owen Evans strike.
However, four minutes later, United were back in front when Glass curled in a free-kick from 20 yards after Appere had been brought down.
And two goals in the last six minutes of the half sunk the struggling visitors.
First, Munro sliced Matty Zata’s deflected shot into the roof of the net with his attempted clearance.
Then, just before the break, Glass played a one-two with Zata to create the space and net easily.
And Glass completed his treble and the scoring when converting a penalty after Appere had been brought down in the box.
Dundee United: Donaldson, Reekie, Graham, Thomas (Cooney 69), Toshney (Banks 60), Bollan, Inglis, Zata, Appere, Glass, Trialist (Ward 71).
