Dumbarton-born Jim McIntyre, a 'Son of the Rock', spoke today of his delight in overcoming his home town team in the CIS Cup.
"After losing heavily to Rangers on Saturday we really needed the win against Dumbarton on Tuesday night," he said. "The manner in which we achieved it has given us our confidence back and we will go down to Edinburgh on Saturday looking to pick up all three points.
"Hearts cup defeat, on penalties, will have been a hard one for their players and their fans to take but we have to take care of our own business though, and that means picking up the points that can take the team back up the table."
