Betfred Cup Group Stage Fixtures

Dundee United will have home ties versus Arbroath and Alloa Athletic and away fixtures versus Ross County and Elgin City in the 2018/19 Betfred Cup Group A. 

United start the campaign on Saturday, July 14 (3pm) with a home tie versus Arbroath before visiting Dingwall to take on Ross County on Tuesday 17 July (7.45pm). On Saturday 21 July (3pm) United will play host to Alloa Athletic before finishing away to Elgin City on 28 July (3pm).

Admission details for all fixtures will be issued in due course.

The group stage of the Betfred Cup uses the traditional three points for a win and one point for a draw model but all drawn matches go straight to a penalty shoot-out, with the winner of the shoot-out awarded a bonus point. 

The eight group winners and four best runners-up progress to the last 16, where they are joined by European qualifiers Celtic, Aberdeen, Rangers and Hibernian.
