The Club held its Annual Awards, sponsored by ArabTRUST, in the Invercarse Hotel last Sunday and a capacity crowd were treated to an enjoyable night as the guest speakers John McKelvie and James Bee entertained the crowd after a lovely three-course meal.
The main event of the evening saw MC for the evening Paul Reid introduce the awards in the following order.
GOAL OF THE SEASON: Matty Smith's 20-yarder versus Queen of the South
SAVE OF THE SEASON: Harry Lewis's stunning fingertip save versus Dundee in the Betfred Cup tie that helped secure a penalty shoot-out victory for the Tangerines.
YOUTH ACADEMY SPECIAL RECOGNITION AWARD: Under15's Youth Academy defender Arran Leiper received the award, presented by Head of Academy Brian Grant, for his courage during his year-long battle with cancer.
CLUB RECOGNITION AWARD: Stuart White, a volunteer for over 20 years as part of the Commercial team, received his award from Paul Hegarty.
ArabTRUST's FAN'S PLAYER OF THE YEAR AWARD: Club captain Willo Flood received this award from ArabTRUST Chairman Stuart Campbell.
PLAYERS' PLAYER OF THE YEAR: Sam Stanton received the award, presented by John Holt, from his fellow teammates.
YOUNG PLAYER OF THE YEAR: Jamie Robson received the award, presented and chosen by Dave Bowman.
PLAYER OF THE YEAR: Sam Stanton was presented with his player of the year award by Chairman Mike Martin. The first-team coaching staff chose the player of the year award.
Dundee United thank all patrons and supporters who attended and made the event a hugely successful evening and thank ArabTRUST for once again sponsoring a flagship Club event.
