“We’ve been looking at ways to enhance revenue from our lottery activities, which support the academy, and we see FanDraw as the key to engaging more fans and ensuring greater prizes for participants,” said Colin Stewart, Dundee United Development Association Chair and Club Associate Director. “The platform embraces the spirit of the traditional club lotto and brings it into the 21st century with online play, bigger prizes and more choice for fans.”
Rob Lawson, Head of Customer Success at LOT.TO. said, “Over their 50+ years of combined experience in gambling and sports marketing, our team has watched the decline of traditional club lotteries, whose sales have been hammered by the national lottery and sports betting. FanDraw is our response, engaging fans with the chance to win cash and money-can’t-buy prizes in a fast, engaging draw.”
FanDraw allows players to place bets on lottery draws; either club-specific draws or well recognised national draws, depending on the game. The platform will initially launch online, with in-stadia sales to follow. The club draw, which takes place every home match day at half-time, will sit alongside existing DUDA lotteries. Dundee United has opted to utilise a full suite of seven FanDraw games, which provides for daily play.
With guaranteed winners and a constant stream of content, FanDraw is designed to appeal to players of all ages. The live in-stadia draws, strong club ethos and a low entry price make the FanDraw package ideal for clubs looking to boost fundraising for player development or community foundations.
