We are pleased to welcome volunteers from Recovery Dundee to Tannadice on Saturday. Recovery Dundee is a relatively new charity which aims to highlight the many recovery opportunities in our city and beyond. Supporters can meet members of this organisation, all of whom are in recovery themselves, in our concourses for an informal chat. Recovery Dundee also have a strong presence on twitter and facebook with plans of opening up a recovery Cafe in the city centre.
The Club together with the Dundee United Community Trust have recently struck up a partnership with Recovery Dundee as part of our commitment to mental and physical health in the community. Most people are in need of recovery of one form or another at some stage in their lives; it is time to remove the stigma, to support and empower one another. Football is not only a powerful tool to bring about social change, but as community based sport, can be part of the network of pathways to make things happen.
Recovery Dundee look forward to speaking with United fans on Saturday and would cordially invite interested supporters to join them in their forthcoming Recovery Walk on 30 September at 11am. More info at www.recoverydundee.org,www.facebook.com/RecoveryDundee1 and @RecoveryDundee
