Dundee United FC have joined neighbours Dundee FC in promoting a pre-match collection for the Dundee Foodbank prior to Sunday’s Betfred Cup Group C clash at Dens Park.
With collection points behind both the Bobby Cox and Bob Shankly Stands, as well as on the junction of Provost Road and Dens Road, it’s a great opportunity for the city’s football community to join together and support this hugely important and worthwhile cause.
Dundee Foodbank would like to express its sincere gratitude to both football clubs for their continued support. With over 9500 referrals over the past year and over 76 tonnes of food distributed, this collection day will be pivotal to help us keep up with an unfortunately high demand.
Regardless of which team you support, we would ask that anyone attending the game consider making a small donation to help support the work of Dundee Foodbank.
In particular items of need include:
- Tinned vegetables
- Tinned meat
- Tinned puddings
- Coffee
- Tinned fruit
- Toiletries
However, any donations will be greatly appreciated (unfortunately we are unable to accept fresh or frozen items).
