Comeback man Stephen Wright completed the latest phase on his road to recovery on Monday night, when he got through a full 90 minutes of match action unscathed.
The former Rangers and Aberdeen defender took part in a friendly against local junior outfit North End, and suffered no ill effects.
Wright has been on the brink of a top team return for some time, but has struggled to fully shake off his knee problem - until now.
Although he won't be in Alex Smith's plans for the visit to McDiarmid Park this weekend, Wright is set to be back in the side before long, which of course would offer the boss even more defensive options.
Said Smith, "Stephen played a full game against North End and did well. That's been a great boost for him and he seems set for a return to the first team very soon."
