United fans have responded in a fabulous fashion to the United for All-driven appeal for preloved audio devices for the Playlist for Life partnership alongside ArabTRUST, St Johns HS and the Club itself.
Dundee United Chairman Stephen Thompson was on hand to donate the first item ahead of the Morton fixture at Tannadice. Fellow United fans then went on to give many mp3 and cd players alongside £180 in cash donations. A separate donation of £500 was received from a local family who wish to remain anonymous. The money will be used to buy additional audio devices.
The playlist for life project is designed to allow care home residents to enjoy their personal music playlists to encourage mental stimulation and wellbeing through the familiarity of music. ArabTRUST donated headsets and pupils from St John's HS arranged playlists designed for individual residents.
A United for all spokesman said: " Thank you to every fan who donated. We are delighted with the response, and it will make such a difference to the residents of St Joseph's.
"The support of ArabTRUST, St John's HS and Dundee United itself was outstanding also, and it would be great to see this project grow."
