Young Terrors Logan Davie, Graham Taylor and Scott Allardice (left to right) have secured contract extensions with the Club.
Dundonian Scott, who turns 19 in March, has committed to United until the summer of 2019. Signed from Dundee FC in 2010, he attended the St John’s H.S. United programme under the guidance of Ian Cathro and Steve Leahy. In 2016, Scott returned from 13 months out with a knee injury, and that determination has led to Scott being one of the first names on the team sheet each week at development level. Although he still to make his first team debut, the defensive midfielder has progressed to match day squad involvement this season.
18-year-old Logan, also from Dundee, joined the Club at 11 and was also part of the St John’s H.S. project for five years. A versatile player who can play in both midfield and defence, Logan has caught the eye this season with some sterling performances at Under-20 level.
Attacking midfielder Graham, also 18, was another who attended the St John’s H.S programme - albeit travelling daily from Stirling to the school before joining United full-time. Graham, who signed with the Club at the age of 9, has a style of play which endears him to spectators with his direct and dangerous attacking threat.
Manager Ray McKinnon said: “I am delighted we have secured the three lads. Each possesses so much potential, and I am looking forward to see them to push for inclusion in the first-team squad on a regular basis soon.
“While my focus so far has been primarily on the first team, it is paramount that Dundee United continue to produce talent capable of developing into the first team and beyond.”
