Development Three Seek New Clubs

1st April 2016

Three of Dundee United’s development team players are now free to find new clubs. Striker Aaron Duke and defenders Reghan Tumilty and Greig McNaughton’s are now available. The three players have all featured regularly for Dundee United’s development team in recent seasons. Northern Irishman Aaron (20) is a proven goal scorer at development league level and is now keen to make the move to regular first team football. At 6’ 4” tall he is good in the air but also fast on the ground and scored in every round of the Scottish Youth Cup this season prior to the semi-final exit to Hearts. Reghan (19) has been with United for three seasons. The defender is a regular starter for the development team with his determined and workman-like approach being a valuable asset in every game. He possesses great technique and awareness in linking up well with team mates and bringing others into play. Dundee born Greig (18) has been with the club since he was 11 years old and progressed through the St John’s High School Project. A versatile defender, he can play either at right back or centre-back and although a lifelong United fan he is keen to secure the chance of more regular starting appearances. Dave Bowman, assistant coach of the development team, said: “The players have all contributed to the development squad but after discussing their future careers we all felt that they had a better prospects of first team football and more regular starting appearances at other clubs. We do not want young players to be stifled in any way and all three have the potential and desire to continue developing their football careers elsewhere.”
