DEREK ROBERTSON TRIBUTE

The concourse within the Eddie Thompson Stand will be renamed ‘The Derek Robertson Concourse’ in a fitting tribute to the late Director of the Club who gave many years of loyal service. Derek was a lifelong Dundee United supporter and joined the Club’s Board in 2002 playing an active role as a Director until his resignation at the end of last season. He was also very much respected around Scottish football and a great advocate of supporters’ involvement in both Dundee United and the wider Scottish game. In February 2016, he became the honorary patron of the Dundee United Hall of Fame in recognition of his drive to set up the successful annual event. Chairman Stephen Thompson said, “This is a fitting tribute to Derek and one that his family is delighted to accept. Derek is sorely missed by everyone at Dundee United and this mark of respect within the stand of his season ticket seat will be a reminder to us all of his passion for Dundee United Football Club.”
