Following information received from Police Scotland, Dundee United today issued letters to seven individuals who had been arrested by Police Scotland during the recent game with Ross County. The seven individuals are now prohibited from attending any home games until the outcome of their cases have been dealt with by the Courts.
Six of those individuals were arrested for breach of the peace due to alleged pitch incursions and one arrested for alleged threatening and abusive behaviour.
A Club spokesperson said: “We are determined not to allow the actions of a few to damage the good reputation of the Club and the vast majority of our supporters. It is unfortunate that such action needs to be taken but we are intent on reducing any form of unacceptable conduct at Dundee United games. Warnings were very clear in the run up to this game that pitch incursions were not acceptable. We will continue to work with supporters' groups, the Police, football authorities and other clubs to ensure a positive environment for everyone to watch Dundee United both at home and away.”
