The time for talking is over and the time for action is here - that was Friday's message from manager Alex Smith after his squad completed their preparations for Saturday's big game at St Johnstone.
So long as United match the result of fellow strugglers St Mirren, who play Aberdeen, they know they will be playing SPL football next season. Alex, though, wants that target hit in only one way - with a victory at McDiarmid Park. "If we get three points we know we are there and that's all we are thinking about," he said. "We've said all we can say about the situation we are in, now it's time to get out there and take care of business."
United are set to go with the same eleven that beat Dunfermline 1-0 at Tannadice on Sunday.
