Although he is in Largs as part of the SFA team at their annual coaching course on the West Coast, United Manager Alex Smith will be kept busy with club business this week.
Alex headed to the West Coast after taking in the Scottish Cup final at Hampden on Saturday, but over the next few days will be keeping in touch with staff back at Tannadice. On top of that he is due back at the ground on Tuesday afternoon to continue negotiations with players whose contracts expire in the near future.
He is, of course, also still talking to the board about his own situation - since his arrival at United back in August he has been working without a contract, but there could be news on that front in the near future.
