Launched last season, the Club’s strong relationship with Sodexo Prestige continues with the announcement that a five-year deal has been agreed to supply all match day food inside Tannadice.
The partnership with Sodexo, the UK’s leading provider of award-winning food who has been supplying the Club’s hospitality catering in 2014/15, proved so successful that both parties were delighted to extend provision into the concourse kiosks from the start of season 2015/16.
David Southern, United’s General Manager, said: “Sodexo are a leader in staging some of the biggest world-class sporting events, luxury dining and renowned social occasions. Over the course of last season, feedback received from hospitality clients was exceptionally positive.
“The desire to work with Dundee United and act on supporters’ feedback to offer tailored and cost effective choice within the concourse kiosks was an important aspect of securing this partnership and I am sure our fans will enjoy the products and service they receive over the next five years.”
Within the new kiosk agreement, Sodexo will work closely with local suppliers to provide products and options distinctive to the local area. A new range of food including vegetarian offerings and the option of healthier products such as fruit from club partner Strifresh Ltd. Speciality kids portion sizes are also available from the FamilyZONE tuck shop, located in the George Fox lower stand.
David Trotter, Sodexo Catering Services Director, said: “We are delighted to be given the opportunity to provide Hospitality and Retail catering with Dundee United. We are looking forward to working with Dundee United over the next five years to ensure we continue to
improve the catering facilities. We have secured local suppliers for the start of the season and we look forward to getting feedback from the fans over the season.”
