United got the perfect workout against Athlone Town in the Club's first pre season match in Ireland.
Manager Jackie McNamara's pre match wish for a good fitness test was granted against the Irish side half way through a season and despite being early in pre season the form was highly encouraging along with the 0-0 score line. United created numerous chances and the goals will surely come with match fitness.
