Dundee United today confirmed Mark Wilson has signed a contract extension that will see him wear the Tangerine shirt until the end of season 2014-15.
Mark joined United in August 2013 on an initial six month deal and during that time he has delighted Manager Jackie McNamara with both his performances and his fitness.
Manager Jackie McNamara said: "I said back in August that the short term deal would give both Mark and the Club a chance to see if things could work out to the satisfaction of both and this has proved to be the case. He adds great experience both on the park and in the dressing room and also enhances our options in selection.
"To have someone of Mark's experience here until the end of next season will help nurture the youngster who play alongside him and I am delighted he has signed this extension."
Mark said, "I have enjoyed my football again since coming back to Tannadice. Signing this longer deal means i can feel settled knowing i am here until the end of next season at least.
"It is brilliant coming into training each day and working with the fantastic young players but it is also great working with a coaching staff who make you feel valued and very much part of things. United have gave me the opportunity to show i could still play at this level and i intend to do that for the benefit of the Club."
