The Dundee United first team squad took time away from the busy festive schedule to visit the Children's hospital within Ninewells today.
First team players including Sean Dillon, Ryan Gauld, Gary Mackay-Steven, Nadir Ciftci and Stu Armstrong brought some Christmas cheer to the youngsters within the wards.
The squad arrived with gifts for kids of all ages and spent a while posing for photos and signing autographs for the youngsters.
Club captain Sean Dillon said: "Christmas should be a happy time, especially for children, and me and the lads hope our visit today has brought a little of that Christmas spirit to this hospital where some of the kids are going through a tough time just now."
Midfielder Stu Armstrong said: "As footballers we know youngsters look up to us but to be here today and to see the delight on the faces of these brave youngsters is truly awe inspiring. The staff seemed to enjoy our visit, too!"
NHS Tayside Chairman Sandy Watson said, "We were delighted that players and officials from Dundee United chose to visit our Children's Hospital to spread some festive cheer.
"Having to be in hospital at Christmas time is never pleasant but visits like this make the time more bearable, especially for children.
"We are very grateful to Dundee United for their generosity and for taking the time out of their busy training schedule."
