Four Ryan Gauld assists helped United climb to fourth in the Scottish Premiership table as they beat a feisty Partick Thistle side 4-1 at a rocking Tannadice Park. Gary Mackay-Steven opened the scoring within two minutes. Partick Thistle equalised through an Aaron Muirhead penalty in the second half. However, United restored their lead through Andy Robertson and then Gary Mackay-Steven put the game beyond doubt with his second. Substitute Brian Graham scored the fourth to add the icing on the cake of another fantastic performance.

Dundee United got off to a terrific start in a first half they would go on to dominate.
